“Ken Duncum’s adaptation is inspired… captures perfectly the tragic human story inside a decadent society” – The Press, Christchurch

You can’t live forever…

The passion and scandal of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel is brought to the stage in a thrilling new adaptation by Ken Duncum, winner of the 2010 New Zealand Post Mansfield Prize. Over a shimmering summer on Long Island, Nick Carraway enters a restless world of feverish excitement and elegant romance populated by the bright young poisonous things of the Jazz Age. Entangled in the fatal attraction of beautiful Daisy Buchanan and the mysterious Jay Gatsby, Nick finds himself drawn further and further into the dazzling decadence of the Roaring Twenties, until his final devastating discovery explodes the glamorous façade of the American Dream.

Starring: Erin Banks, Paul Harrop, Ray Henwood, Guy Langford, Miranda Manasiadis, Natthan Meister, Danny Mulheron, Jessica Robinson.
