A Public Reading: Essential To The Stage

Circa Theatre is delighted to be hosting a PUBLIC READING inspired by work from the fourth workshop for NZ playwrights, convened by acclaimed New Zealand writer, actor and director, Fiona Samuel (The Louise Nicholas Story, Bliss, Ghost Train, Piece of My Heart).

Following on from the highly successful Breaking and Entering, Women on the verge and Twelve Angry Women writing workshops, Circa Theatre is hosting a fourth writing workshop, Essential To The Stage, on Saturday 5 August. A similar format will apply: a day’s workshop followed two weeks later by a public reading of work inspired by the workshop with a guest curator at 4pm on Saturday 19 August. Tickets on sale now.

Fiona’s award-winning career spans theatre, film, radio and television and she graduated from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School in 1980 with a Diploma in Acting.
