“This is now my most favourite NZ play. Impossible not to be impressed.” Audience Feedback
Touring the country after a sold-out season at BATS Theatre and shortlisted for Playmarket’s Adam NZ Play Award.
Aspiring comedian Tai starts work at a moving company and meets Oscar and Bruce, two Pākehā blokes who seem to have stepped straight out of the Stuff.co.nz comments. When Tai’s off-the-cuff impersonation of Bruce impresses audiences, he’s got to make a choice between his job and his career.
Starring: Sepe Mua’au, John Landreth and Lloyd Scott.
John Landreth has also been nominated for the Outstanding performance award at wellington’s 2018 theatre Awards.
“A must see!” Tanemahuta Gray.
“Moving, funny, political. Wonderful performances. James Cain is a writer to watch!” Eleanor Bishop.
“James Cain pulls off the difficult double-act of making us laugh uproariously as well as empathising deeply with his characters.” David O’Donnell.
