The Improvisors
For the April School Holidays
Kids love theatre that’s interactive. So do the Improvisors. Kids (and their grown-ups) loved the 2015 season of Improv For Kids, so we’re bringing it back.
It’s a great opportunity to introduce your kids to the world of live theatre. We may not have millions of dollars worth of computer-generated effects, but we do listen to kids and we make their ideas central to what happens on stage. In Improv For Kids, imagination is the best special effect of them all!
“It is reassuring and even inspiring to see that kids awash with technological entertainment can join in so creatively in a format that guarantees fun for everyone, including the adults they bring along.” John Smythe, Theatreview

The first New Zealand International Festival of the Arts in 1990 gave birth to The Improvisors.
Six local actors formed a company to provide an alternative to the corporate entertainment and training on offer at that time. Using their training and experience in Theatresports, they began by bringing tailor-made, improvised comedy to conferences, office functions and product launches throughout the country.
They have developed an upbeat and exciting approach to training which emphasises team building and problem solving.
As well as a busy corporate clientele, comprising of hundreds and hundreds of satisfied clients, The Improvisors have performed their improvised murder-mystery show in collaboration with Wallaceville House.
They continue to stage successful seasons of Theatresports and other Improv Comedy at Circa Theatre.
“I’ve had a great ride and it is with great great pride we celebrate our Silver Jubliee and look forward to continuing to meet the needs and challenges of old and new clients.” – Tim Gordon
