When: 5 October 2016
Te Papa Audio Described Tour: 3.30pm – 5pm
Circa Theatre Touch Tour: 5.45pm
Audio Described Performance: 6.30pm

Circa Theatre aims to make our theatre accessible for everyone, and part of that mandate is providing audio described performances. Audio description is the method of describing the non-verbal action in a play into headsets worn by blind and visually impaired audience members, so that they can have as complete a theatre experience as possible.

Te Papa and Circa have joined forces to bring you 2 audio described events on the same day!  First up is an audio described tour from 3.30 to 5pm at Te Papa. This will be followed by a touch tour at 5.45pm at Circa Theatre and the audio described performance starts at 6.30pm of Last Legs.

Last Legs is set in an upmarket retirement community, the Cambridge, with a cast of recognisably funny and fallible Kiwi characters. Outside of happy hour, bridge and mah-jong, our well-to-do seniors indulge in greed, jealousy, love and lust… not to mention their share of gossip, backstabbing and scandal!
