Where is Circa Theatre?
Circa Theatre is located at 1 Taranaki Street, Te Aro, Wellington, 6011. We are next to Te Papa on the waterfront. You will find a map below.
Carparking
There are carparks available for you to use in the Te Papa carpark and are available day and night.

To get to Circa from the Te Papa carpark head towards the front entrance of Te Papa and then cross the large uncovered paved area to the Circa red front door entrance, approximately 82 steps away.
The cost to park there in the daytime, between 8am – 5pm, is $4 for up to 4 hours, and $6 for every hour after, up to a maximum of $40 per day. Evening and overnight prices between the hours of 5pm – 8am, are just $2 per hour (up to $8 when exiting before 2am) up to a maximum of $24 per night. You can pay with cash, EFTPOS, or credit card (Amex, Mastercard, or Visa).
The cost for parking on Jervois Quay starts at $5/hour Weekdays and $3/hour at Weekends. The parking is metered 8am-8pm.

What Bus can I catch?
You can catch several buses to the Courtenay Place and Willis Street bus stops, including a bus from the Wellington Railway Station or from Wellington Airport. It is a few minutes’ walk from the bus stops to Circa Theatre. Click here to download Metlink’s full bus timetable.
How do I get to Circa by Train?
From Wellington Railway Station it’s a 20-minute walk to Te Papa along the waterfront. Alternatively, you can catch a bus or taxi.
