Wētā, Tuna and Kārearea are mates of Gary the Glowworm, and are travelling to attend his rave in the cave birthday party. The friends face a number of trials on the road, and learn that despite their differences, they can achieve their goals by working together! A tale for kiwi kids, featuring iconic NZ creatures, landscapes and fresh waiata by NZ singer songwriter Benny Tipene.

Land of the Long, Long Drive is the Winner of Playmarket’s 2022 Plays for the Young (3-8 Year-old category), and nominated for the PAYPA production of the Year (2024). A tale about friendship, birthdays and going the extra mile for the ones we love, Horse With No Name and GRIDLEY by Victoria are excited to bring back Land of the Long, Long Drive for Circa’s big 50th birthday celebration!

Audience Care: Fairy lights are strung above the audience and will be turned on in the last 10 minutes. Lighting effects include movement and occasional light directed towards the audience. There are two brief movements of (clearly fake) simulated vomiting.
